For this Standard we talked about working drawings and their use in our engineering pathway.
DISCUSSION BOARD - WORKING DRAWINGS:
A working Drawing is a scale drawing which serves as a guide for the construction or manufacture of something such as a building or machine. The purpose of callouts on an assembly document is to show the viewer what the name of a part is and to show where and how that part fits into the assembly. The aspects of a detail drawing of a threaded component are rather important in the fact that they hace the sole purpose of screwing into a matching threaded cavity, this gives the design more of the sense of realism, and makes it easier for the viewer to process how it works. I have satisfied this standard during the course by using the "Threading" command on a screw that I have made. The current "Threading" command is merely a texture that is added across the flat surface to make it appear like it is threaded. My future learning goals related to this standard is to become better at the "Coil" command so that I could have actually threading on my designs. What do I still not know about this standard that I wish to discover is how to make more thin, or thick threading.
